It's been warm lately. I can feel spring approaching. I've been sitting outside on the front porch more, gazing at the clouds and listening to the birdsong and smelling the scent of the earth. Nature continues to offer me what little solace I can find in the depths of my grief for my mother.

Started reading this collection of poetry by Iranian poet, Ahmad Shamlou. It is published by a great imprint called World Poetry Books. I love their subscription service. Every quarter, I get a box of several books they've published! Just as I love world cinema, I also love world poetry. It's so important to engage with art beyond our own borders.

I discovered this gorgeous YouTube channel called DreamFibre. He makes otherworldly dreamscapes using computer technology. It almost feels like being inside a video game. The music he includes with the visuals is also very soothing. I put his videos on in the background as I work, read, or just zone out.
