I wanted to make the front porch more beautiful. My mom used to sit outside often. So, in many ways, this is sacred ground. I bought a wreath of peonies. They were her favorite flowers. I also found a beautiful windchime. I want it to be a space of remembrance. When I'm out there, I will think of her. Maybe it's like communing with her spirit.
