"Wildflowers" by Tom Petty
What makes Wildflowers a special album for me is the way in which I discovered it. One day, my best friend told me there was a song that reminded her of me. That song was "Wildflowers." The first time I listened to it, I cried. I couldn't believe someone associated me with such a beautiful song. I felt fully seen and loved. It's still one of the most moving experiences of my life. Even now, when I feel broken or like my heart is being hardened by the world, I return to Wildflowers. It softens me again and reminds me to remain tender.
