I had such a nourishing weekend. I read Ray Bradbury's short stories, worked on my upcoming episode about Babette's Feast, made cottage cheese pizza crust (so delicious!), and crocheted this wind spinner for the front porch. I have intense moments of pride in myself and my ability to survive. There is a powerful life force inside me. I think it comes from my parents and the love they gave me. When my mother passed, it felt like she transferred her strength and love to me. I think that's why I am still here. Those were her final gifts to me.
Traveler, your footprints
are the only road, nothing else.
Traveler, there is no road;
you make your own path as you walk.
As you walk, you make your own road,
and when you look back
you see the path
you will never travel again.
Traveler, there is no road;
only a ship's wake on the sea.
— Antonio Machado, "[Traveler, your footprints]"
